Novo invites you to our Corporate-Supported Symposium in conjunction with ObesityWeek, November 14–17, 2026, in Washington, DC, USA!

Join us on Sunday 15 November, 6:30-9 pm in Exhibit Hall A, Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center for an engaging symposium titled ‘Obesity in Focus: Today’s evidence. Tomorrow’s possibilities.’, exploring the evolving landscape of obesity management, followed by dinner.

Chaired by Dr. Jaime Almandoz (USA), this symposium will bring together expert faculty to discuss what is making headlines in obesity care. From the latest guideline recommendations and clinical evidence for approved pharmacological treatments to the emerging science of native amylin and amylin analogs, the programme will combine focused presentations with expert commentary and discussion. Hear from Dr. Deborah Horn (USA) on what is changing in obesity guidelines, Dr. Akshay Jain (Canada) on the evidence shaping current pharmacological treatment, Prof. Thomas Lutz (Switzerland) on the biology and mechanism of action of amylin and its potential to complement GLP-1, and Dr. Domenica Rubino (USA) on emerging evidence for amylin analogs, including potential effects on weight management.

During the symposium, we will explore the following learning objectives:

  • Review the evolving obesity treatment landscape, including current guideline recommendations
  • Review recent clinical evidence for approved treatments across different formulations in obesity management, including weight loss outcomes and body composition
  • Explore the biology of amylin, its mechanism of action, its uniqueness and potential to be complementary to GLP-1
  • Review emerging clinical evidence for amylin analogs, including their efficacy and safety, and potential effects on weight management

We look forward to seeing you for 75 minutes of expert insights, emerging evidence and discussion, before continuing the conversation over dinner.
