The ObesityWeek 2026 scientific programming features a core group oral sessions bringing cutting-edge science and the latest insights for clinical applications.

Attendees will be able to attend approximately 20 oral sessions and 10 non-CME oral sessions during the conference, Nov. 14–17, at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in the Washington, DC, region.

A rundown of these oral sessions is included below, and the latest updates will be shared on the conference app and posted in the online program.

“The magic of being in the room for these oral sessions is that you’re hearing the information first, often before it has been published,” said Hollie Raynor, PhD, RD, LDN, the ObesityWeek 2026 Program Planning Committee co-chair. “These sessions provide the opportunity to be at the edge of what is currently occurring in the field. They also provide a format to hold conversations with the investigators who are presenting and to gain a first-hand assessment of what is happening in research and how it is impacting the field.”

Many of the oral sessions will be associated with one of the conference’s six professional tracks, allowing for focused discussions on pressing themes and questions within these professional fields.

“These are sessions where we present brand new research, and we worked to ensure that the content our oral sessions captured all aspects of population health,” said Katherine N. Balantekin, PhD, RD, chair of the Population Health track.

As the oral sessions highlight new ideas, they spotlight rising and mid-career talent.

“Many of the oral session presentations are chosen from the late-breaking abstracts and are sprinkled in with the earlier submissions. This allows us to present more cutting-edge research, particularly from some of the industry trails that wrapped up in the summer,” said John Thyfault, PhD FTOS, chair of the Program Planning Committee. “It also gives an opportunity for more junior and mid-career professionals to be seen and heard at the meeting.”

The most up-to-date oral session details are available in the online program.
